5 Popular Reusable Food Wraps To Keep Your Food Fresh

Did you know that we produce just about 200 million tonnes of plastic each year?—And the numbers just keep on growing!

On the slightly brighter side, more and more people, big corporations, and organizations are becoming aware of this and are taking more measures and steps to reduce plastic waste.

At Trash Backwards, we are crazy about all things zero-waste and zero-plastic. So when we heard about the different reusable plastic food wraps and bags, we had to write an article about it!

The SPLF reusable bags work very well as food storage bags, and one of these can save up to 300 disposable bags!

The reusable bags are genuinely green and don’t contain harmful materials like PVC, chloride, or BPA. I like that they are leak-proof and come with a double seal enclosure to seal in the freshness.

You can easily pop these in the freezer, and the bags are ideal for freezing and preserving food for long periods.

Lastly, to clean the reusable bags, you simply place them in the dishwasher or hand wash them under cool or warm water. Keep in mind that the SPLF reusable bags aren’t designed for storing hot foods, nor can they be put in the microwave.

How To Clean Reusable Food Wrap?

How To Clean Reusable Food Wrap

Reusable food wraps and bags are super easy to care for.

For the silicone or beeswax wraps, simply run them under warm or hot water with mild soap, or you can pop them into the dishwasher as well. The fabric lunch bags can also be washed by hand or you can throw them in the washing machine or even the dishwasher.

After washing, let them air dry; due to their small size, they should be ready to use in an hour or two.

If in doubt, it’s always good to check out the manufacturer’s instructions to be on the safe side.
