My love for Pringles has led me on a more crafty path! Since these delicious chips come packed in a sturdy container that keeps them intact, it makes sense to reuse them as something else after. Here at Trash Backwards, we love the idea of sustainability, and reusing goods plays a huge role in that.
Since it’s somewhat wasteful to throw the Pringles can away, I scoured the web to find some creative, fun and sustainable ways you can reuse them. I was impressed with how many ways we can reuse a Pringles can! I’ve seen people wrap these cans with decorative paper and use them as cotton rounds dispensers (check out our zero-waste cotton pads article for reusable cotton pad alternatives).
I’ve also come across other creative ideas like turning these cans into beautiful flower vases, cookie holders, dry goods containers and much more. Plus, it’s a great activity to get your family involved in – especially kids.
These are just some of the ideas we found; maybe by going through them, you’ll discover an even more creative use of a Pringles can? The sky’s the limit!
Be sure that before you start repurposing the cans, wash them out with warm soapy water and dry them well after. Then all you need is some glittery, colorful, plain, or any other type of decorative paper, glue, and scissors to get started. I also like the idea of using decorative stones or sequins to really jazz things up.
